WEST HAM have failed in an attempt to sign Feyenoord full-back Tyrell Malacia from under the noses of Manchester United.
The Hammers are in the market for a new left-back this summer as they hope to improve on Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku.
It has been reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that the club has tried to hijack Manchester United's deal for the left-back and now he looks set for a move to Old Trafford.

An original switch to Ligue 1 side Lyon appeared to be on the cards for Malacia before United made their move for the left-back.
Interest and admiration of the 22-year-old turned into a bid worth a reported 15 million euros (£12.95million) bid, plus 2m euros (£1.7m) in add-ons.
Feyenoord news platform 1908.nl have reported club sporting director Frank Arnesen told them: “The agreement is there. We are now waiting for Tyrell.
“If he says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent."
For West Ham, however, other left-back targets such as Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko and Hoffenheim's David Raum.
The Hammers have made two signings so far this summer, completing deals for PSG's Alphonse Areola and Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd.
