SOUTHEND United Wembley hero Joe Pigott will be spending the forthcoming season on loan at Portsmouth.
Pigott, who memorable scored for the Shrimpers in the 2015 League Two play-off final, made just 10 League One starts for Ipswich Town during the previous campaign.
And the 28-year-old striker will now be at Fratton Park for the season ahead where he will be managed by former Concord Rangers boss Danny Cowley.
Cowley told the club's website: “We’ve got a player who is really hungry.
"He loves football and was starved of that a bit last season.
"Joe will bring some real intelligence and good link play, while he obviously carries a threat in the final third."
