JESSICA Judd is through to the final of the 5,000m at the World Championships in Oregon.
Judd set a new personal best to finish 11th in the 10,000m final earlier this week.
And another determined run has now seen her reach a second final in quick succession.
Judd finished eighth in her heat in a time of 14 minutes, 57.64 seconds and was quick to praise team-mate Eilish McColgan for her help.
Judd told the BBC: “I’m so grateful to Eilish because I really didn’t want to lead and I think people are used to me leading.
“It was a bit messy but the 10k final was my first World final and now this.
“My grandads aren’t here anymore but they would’ve loved to have seen me run in the final so I’m proud of myself and thanks to Eilish because I don’t think I would’ve got through otherwise.”
The 5,000m final will be run in the early hours of Sunday morning.
