SOUTHEND United have missed out on signing striker Josh Kelly.
The Shrimpers tabled an offer for the forward who scored 17 goals for Maidenhead United last season.
But the 23-year-old forward has now joined Solihull Moors who were beaten in the National League play-off final last season.
Kelly told the club’s official website: “This is something I’ve been looking forward to and I’m glad it’s done now.
“I’ve come here to score goals and try and improve on everything I can.
“Coming into a full-time set-up is definitely going to help me, especially with the team here and having spoken to the manager and hearing his ambitions.
“The club were unlucky not to go up last season but, with the team we’ve got here, I don’t see why we can’t do it this time around.”
