SOUTHEND United are still in transfer talks with trialist striker Chris Wreh.
The former Banbury United forward has scored twice in three pre-season friendlies for Blues.
And, despite Wreh not featuring for the Shrimpers against Gillingham on Saturday, boss Kevin Maher has not ruled out the striker signing on a permanent basis.
“Something may happen with Chris Wreh but he wasn’t available to play for us today,” said Maher.
“The start of next week might be possible and we’ll have a look at that.”
However, trialist striker Ibby Akanbi and winger Maxime Addo will not be offered deals by Blues.
