JESSICA Judd finished 13th in the 5,000m World Championship final.
Judd, who is from Canvey Island, ran 15 minutes, 19.88 seconds in Oregon.
But she told the BBC it had been an ‘average’ performance.
“It was OK,” said Judd.
“I knew when they kicked I was running 69s so I can’t really go much faster than that.
“But I’m kicking myself slightly.
“It’s my first time in that race but when (Karoline Bjerkeli) Grovdal went I should’ve gone with her.
“But I panicked a bit and then put too much of a surge in so when it came to the kick I just didn’t have anything.
“I gave it everything and I’m really proud of my championships .
“I’m learning all the time.
“This wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great so it was kind of average.
“But it’s been a brilliant champs and makes me hungry for more.”
Judd finished 11th in the 10,000m final earlier in the week with a huge new personal best time.
