CRICKETING legends Sir Alastair Cook and Jonathan Agnew are coming to the Cliffs Pavilion next month.
‘An Evening with Aggers & Cook’ will be held at the Southend theatre on Monday October 10.
And producer Simon Fielder is expecting an entertaining evening.
“Evenings with Aggers have proved incredibly popular since 2013 when we launched a series of shows with Jonathan and his TMS sparring partner, Geoffrey Boycott,” said Fielder.
“Since then, Aggers has teamed up with Swanny, Sunny, Tuffers and Bumble and so we are absolutely delighted that Jonathan is appearing with latest commentary partner and one of England’s greatest ever players Sir Alastair Cook.
“Cooky has already shown that he is as comfortable on commentary as he was at the crease and this will be a brilliant evening of behind the scenes stories, in depth analysis and some exhilarating footage on screen.”
Jonathan Agnew MBE, is the voice of summer on the airwaves and a key figure in the world of cricket both as a professional cricket player and world-renowned commentator on the game.
He will be joined on stage by Sir Alastair Cook, England's most-capped player who also captained the side more times than anyone else.
The Essex star is his country’s leading Test run-scorer and the first player to take part in 50 Test victories.
He is also the all-time highest scoring left-hander batsmen in Tests, the youngest player in the world to complete 12,000 Test runs and holds the world record for the highest number of centuries.
There will be an opportunity for the audience to tweet Aggers on the night and in advance of the show with their own questions using the Twitter handle @askaggers.
