JAY Howard will be aiming to cross the finishing line when he contests the second round of the IndyCar Series in Florida tomorrow.
Howard, who was born in Basildon, saw his debut in the series end a quarter of the way through the opening race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Handling problems brought a premature end to the 200-lap race for rookie driver Howard.
But he will he hoping for better luck on Sunday in his Roth Racing car at the Streets of St Petersburg as he looks to build on his 12 championship points.
