GRAYS moved up two places to tenth in the Blue Square Premier table as they beat play-off hopefuls Burton Albion 3-2.
Cogan bagged two for Mike Woodward's side and Taylor netted a third, while Jamie Stuart's own goal and a Williams strike accounted for the Brewers' goals.
Cogan put Grays in front after 26 minutes but the visitors were pegged back when full back Stuart put through his own net in the 34th minute.
Williams put the hosts in control on 41 minutes but the lead only lasted nine minutes before Cogan levelled with his second goal.
And two minutes later Taylor struck with what proved to be the winning goal as Grays followed up their two home wins with victory on the road.
Athletic travel to the West Country on Tuesday to take on a Weymouth side who slipped into the relegation zone following a 1-0 home defeat to Oxford United.
