CANVEY'S goal spree dried up as they went down 1-0 away to Bury Town.
The Gulls had hit the back of the net nine times in their last two games to give themselves an outside chance of making the Ryman One North play-offs.
But they were unable to make it a third straight win after 4-1 and 5-1 victories, and will be hoping to get back on track on Tuesday away to another Suffolk side, second-placed AFC Sudbury.
Canvey dropped two places to eighth in the table, while Bury Town moved up two spots to occupy the sixth place their visitors had been occupying.
