SOUTHEND'S White Ensign moved back into the leadership in the Premier Division title race with a 2-0 success over Epping at Eastwoodbury Lane.
With five matches to go they lead closest rivals Kelvedon Hatch by two points with a game in hand.
Chris Baddeley set-up Mike Shelley for Saturday's opener after 31 minutes and made it 2-0 himeslf, courtesy of Jamie Salmon's assist, three minutes later.
Ensign go to bottom club Shell Club Corringham next Saturday (2.30pm) in a reearranged match as original opponents Bishop's Stortford Swifts have a cup game.
Ensign Reserves are at Manford Way tomorrow night (6.15pm).
