SOUTHEND Rugby Club retained their Essex Senior Cup crown with a thumping 52-23 victory over Eton Manor at the hosts' New Wilderness home.
The Seasiders produced a professional performance to see off their London Two North hosts.
And that pleased coach Kevin Harman who opted to field several of his fringe players.
"We played reasonably well and we managed to give all 22 of our players a run out which was good news," said Harman.
"We're delighted to have won the cup for a second year in a row and it confirms us as the number one team in this area."
Southend, who beat Thurrock in last season's final, dominated this latest encounter, with Tyson Lewis and Richard Gill both scoring two tries.
Chris Vaughan also touched down and was named man of the match for a lively performance.
"Chris did well and so did Nick Flexman a 19-year-old who has a bright future ahead of him," added Harman.
