CONCORD Rangers' Essex Senior League title hopes have faded badly following their 1-0 defeat, courtesy of a Sherwin Stanley goal, by fellow contenders Enfield 1893 at Ware.
For the third team battling for the crown, Barkingside, had a 3-0 win at Clapton.
They now lead with 71 points from Enfield, who have 70. Concord are back in third place on 62, but have five games left to play, one more than both their rivals.
Enfield are back in action this evening when they host Tilbury-based Eton Manor.
Southend Manor take on Beaumont Athletic, who are hosting the game at London APSA's Terence McMillan Stadium ground.
