WITH their mid-table position secure, Aveley could be forgiven for having one eye on their defence of the Essex Thames-side Trophy.
In the league tomorrow they host a Witham Town side who, free from relegation worries, would appear, like the Millers, to have nothing but pride to play for.
The Thames-side sees Aveley host Spartan South Midlands League Brimsdown Rovers in the quarter-finals on Monday, with a semi-final date against Essex Senior League Bowers & Pitsea awaiting the winners.
