ROCKS suffered heartbreak when their Kent hosts and relegation rivals snatched a 90th minute equaliser to deny East Thurrock a deserved victory.
The Essex side had doinated this Ryman Premier battle but failed to convert their advantage into anything more than Steve Wareham's 39th minute opener.
To their credit Folkestone rode their luck and battled to the end and salvaged a point in what could prove to be a pivotal game for both sides.
Rocks were in need of a second goal which would have killed off any chance of their hosts getting into the game and as the game drew to a nervous conclusion the East Thurrock players were taking shots on goal when a pass into on running colleagues may have been a better option.
The late equaliser came from James Everitt, who was an earlier substitute.
With ten minutes to go Shane Gore was called upon to make his first save of note diving full length and palm the shot to safety.
Invicta launched their first sustained period of pressure and two more top class saves from Gore came before, in the 90th minute, Everitt volleyed the loose ball into the net to give his team a share of the points.
