SOUTHEND High School's rugby sevens success was capped by the year nine team, who won the county cup at New Hall School, Chelmsford, with a 21-7 success over Coopers Coburn from Upminster.
Tries came from Jimi Tele and Josh Rees, and Southend High conceded only three tries in the whole competition.
In the year 10 event they lost 21-17 to a strong Woodlands team from Basildon in the cup at Campion, but swept through the plate competition, beating Rokeby School 52-0 in the final.
The year 11 final saw Southend High beaten 17-7 by Colchester Royal Grammar School in the final at Coopers School.
