STEVE Maish endured a miserable weekend at the Antwerp Darts Trophy.
The 44-year-old was knocked out 3-1 in the first round by Belgian Kim Huybrechts, who himself went on to beat Dutch world number one Raymond van Barneveld on his way to the fourth round.
The tournament and £5,000 first prize went to 13-times world champion Phil Taylor, who beat Andy Smith 3-0 to lift his sixth successive PDC Pro Tour event.
Chelmsford-based Colin Lloyd continued his recent renaissance with a run to the semi-finals, where he was beaten by Smith, who also knocked out Billericay-born Kevin Painter in the third round.
Maish will return to action at this Saturday's Scottish Sun Scottish Players Championship at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow.
