DESPITE the fact that both sides are all but mathematically out of the play-off race, a large crowd is expected in Sussex tomorrow afternoon when Horsham host Billericay Town.

For the match will be the host club's last after 104 years at their Queen Street ground, which has been sold for housing development.

It's likely to be an afternoon of nostalgia for many between two clubs whose great FA Cup runs this term played a part in both missing out on the promotion mix.

Both, ironically, saw their Cup hopes ended by League One champions elect Swansea City, Billericay in the first round proper and Horsham after a replay a round later.

Town's Cup run, plus long term injuries to players of the calibre of Joe Flack and Matt Game and, over the past two months, skipper Jamie Dormer, was a major factor in just falling short of making the play-offs for a third time in four years.

Horsham looked to have a major chance when they saw their Cup ambitions ended, but many of their games in hand were away from home and, like Billericay, they suffered badly on the injury front.

Dormer, along with Game and Flack, will not play again this season - but the trio will prove a solid base to build on for the start of next season.

Elsewhere, relegation-threatened Folkestone Invicta face a trip to Kent rivals Margate, while fourth-from-bottom Carshalton Town face a must-win visit to another team just outside the drop zone in Boreham Wood.

Wealdstone, who sit fifth-from-bottom, should boost their survival hopes when they entertain rock-bottom Leyton.

l BILLERICAY Town are hosting a charity football match this Sunday between Arsenal ex-Professionals and Celebrities and a team of uncles and dads from St Peter's Roman Catholic School, Billericay.

The match is raising funds to help pay for two new classrooms for the school.

The fun starts with a children's penalty shootout at 1.30pm followed by the match which kicks off at 3pm.

Tickets are available in advance from Gimme Shoozs Kids shoe shop in Sheredays Courtyard, Billericay High St, and Goodspeeds Fish shop, High St, Billericay.
