FIVE south-east Essex school boys will be aiming for English glory when they represent Essex at the national under-15 county championships this weekend.
The quintet - Southend High School for Boys' Tom Elvidge and Liam Peoples, Westcliff High School for Boys' Albert Forsey and James Shorey, plus Greensward College pupil Kieran Guy - are part of a 20-strong Essex squad taking part in the two-day event.
Essex won the eastern regional event and will face Devon (west), Cheshire (north), Hampshire (south) and Nottinghamshire (midlands) at Beeston Hockey Club near Nottingham.
To qualify for the national finals, Essex beat Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Cambridge-shire and Lincolnshire for the eastern region crown.
