THE ESSEX Senior League season is moving towards a thrilling climax with Canvey's Concord Rangers right back in the hunt.
Ten days ago when they lost at Enfield 1893, Concord's bid appeared to be over.
But subsequent events, particularly Enfield's home defeat by Romford on Tuesday, have thrown the race wide open again.
The truth is now that, if Concord can win their final three games, they are likely to be champions and take the crown plus promotion to Ryman One North.
The whole outcome could rest on Concord's visit to the third team involved in the championship success, Barkingside, tomorrow week.
Enfield, with just one game to go, finish their season at home to Bowers and Pitsea next Wednesday.
Concord will look to boost their goal difference - they have the best total of the three challengers anyway - when they entertain Stansted tomorrow before hosting a tricky game with Tilbury based Eton Manor, lying fifth, on Tuesday.
Barkingside prepare for their last day encounter against Concord by visiting Hullbridge tomorrow and hosting Bowers and Pitsea on Monday.
Eton Manor are at Barking tomorrow with Bowers hosting bottom club London APSA.
Basildon United, who won only their third league game last weekend when they beat Clapton at home, visit Sawbridgeworth.
Aveley based Mauritius Sports and Pennant entertain fourth-placed Romford.
Other fixtures:Clapton v Burnham Ramblers.
