A superb display by goalkeeper Paul Dennis helped Bowers and Pitsea to a 1-0 win at title favourites Barkingside last night.
The victory is a big boost to Canvey's Concord Rangers who, along with Barkingside and Enfield 1893, are battling for the championship and elevation to Ryman One North.
To achieve their ambition, Concord must beat in-form fourth-placed side Eton Manor at Thames Road tonight and Barkingside away on Saturday - the final day of the league season.
Bowers, who won last night's affair with a fifth minute goal from Darren Ellis, will now look to effectively end Enfield's championship bid with victory over them at Ware tomorrow evening.
