RHODESIA United are on course to win three top soccer trophies this season.
At Eastwoodbury Lane they beat fellow Wickford Carparts Southend District League side AFC Horndon 3-1.
Jeff Banks (2) and Allen Scott got Rhodesia's goals, with Darryl Woodford replying.
But Rhodesia will not now win the Premier Division championship as they lost 2-1 to Horndon in a league game between the two just two days after their charity success.
Horndon, who complete their league programme with a clash against Newchurch next Saturday, will now take the title.
Rhodesia hope to complete the second leg of their cup treble hunt on Saturday when they meet Runnymede in the Centenary Cup final at Great Wakering Rovers' Burroughs Park ground (2.30pm).
The following Saturday, May 3, they again take on Horndon in the French Cup final, also at Burroughs Park.
Rhodesia, managed by Gavin Mayo, have only been going since 2005. They were promoted to the Premier Division two seasons ago and won the major District League KO competition, the French Cup, last season.
Horndon's league success compensates for their lack of the right results in cups.
Apart from their Charity downfall against Rhodesia, they were also beaten in their County Cup final.
Next up on the Charity front is the Section B final on Thursday when Essex Olympian League Linford wanderers take on Southend Borough Combination Essendon for the Austin Cup. Kick-off is 7.30pm.
