THE three-way battle for the title between Canvey's Concord Rangers, Enfield 1893 and Barkingside could not be closer.

The trio all have 74 points with one match each to go, Enfield finishing at Ware tonight with a match against a Bowers and Pitsea side who won at Barkingside on Monday.

Whatever the outcome tomorrow, Concord, with the best goal difference of the three, will take the championship and elevation to Ryman One North if they can win at Barkingside on Saturday.

They beat in-form Tilbury-based Eton Manor 3-1 at Thames Road last night with Dan Trenkel, Danny Heale and Michael Begg on target and Bradley Nelson replying.

Southend Manor ended their best season for years in style last night with a 1-0 win at Hullbridge Sports. They will finish sixth or seventh and have won eight of the last ten games.

Jason Jay's 88th minute penalty that settled last night's affair at Lower Road was Manor's 1,000th in the league since they joined in 1985.
