SHRIMPERS goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan offered an honest assessment of Saturday's defeat and admitted his team had not done enough to win the game.
"We didn't do enough and from our point of view it was a bad day at the office," said the 30-year-old.
"We're all disappointed but we have to remember how far we've come to get into this position.
"At Christmas it was still a real long shot that we were going to get into the play-offs, but we've turned it around and have gone 13 matches without a defeat prior to that."
A below par display from Blues meant Flahavan endured a busy afternoon between the sticks.
But he is hoping for better when the play-offs begin.
"Whoever we end up playing it's going to be a real test because there are some very strong and big clubs in there," he said.
"We will need to play better than we have here but we know what we're capable of and we've already shown we're in a good side over the last few months of the season."
