THE under-14 girls from Rayleigh's FitzWimarc School will be in top gear when they take on Westcliff High in their soccer final tomorrow night.
For, after an appeal in Echosport, the girls from the school in Hockley Road have found a sponsor and they will be wearing a brand new kit for ther first time.
In previous rounds the girls had to play in a kit borrowed from the boys' team.
But after our story a number of would-be sponsors came forward and the new kit has been presented by Steven Murphy of Club Sports.
The company has been running for around three years and supply equipment and kits not only for football, netball and rugby, but also any kind of team kit locally and throughout the UK.
Based in Canvey High Street, director Murphy said: "I am pleased to be able to support the FitzWimarc under-14 girls' team who have worked so hard to get to the final and deserve every success."
