THE Thursday indoor community five-a-side league at SEEVIC College saw Kingdown Cobras defeat Shooters 7-3 in what was a closely-fought encounter.
Mike Curtis weighed in with a fine hat-trick for Cobras.
Benfleet Utd and Avalon Athletic locked horns in the second match of the night and it was the former who emerged 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Andrew Parry, Joe Sullivan-Bissett and Chris Parry.
Vank FC and Rundel battled out the tightest match of the night as both sides defended well to keep the game goalless at half time.
Vank snatched a couple of goals within a few minutes in the second-half and held on to win the match 2-0.
Awesome FC were unable to make an impact on a hard-working Dynamo outfit who cruised to a 5-1 victory to maintain their excellent recent form.
