FOURTEEN action packed bouts in front of a bumper crowd meant Rayleigh Boxing Club's latest open show was a real knockout.
The night, held at Rayleigh Mill, included nine junior and five senior fights, with six wins out of 10 for the host club.
Leading the way was Jamie Homer in the last bout of the night as he took on Corringham's Ben Lisgarten in a repeat of the recent Essex ABA lightwelterweight final.
Homer came out on top that time around and repeated the success with another superb showing.
Southpaw Lisgarten stole the initiative early on with the first scoring, thanks to several solid shots which bloodied Homer's nose.
Homer knew he had to raise his game and did just that, bouncing back with some great shots.
And he sealed victory late on as he pressured Lisgarten in the dying seconds of the third and final round.
Lisgarten did enough to impress one judge, but not the other two - meaning Homer, who now fights Harwich's Brad Hooper next month, was the winner.
He was not alone either as after an eight year absence from the ring Rayleigh's Max Kennedy returned with a win.
He fought at middleweight against Finchley's useful William O'Reilly and delighted his vociferous following with some scintillating left hooks that found the mark too often for the game O'Reilly.
That resulted in a popular unanimous points win for Kennedy, along with the best home boxer of the night award.
Rayleigh's final senior winner was Michael Chawkley who struggled to find his range at times against Brighton City's Adam Wright but he still did enough to win the fight on points.
The pick of the club's juniors was Steve Wood who enjoyed height and reach advantages over Lewis Thompson from Woodcote ABC.
That, together with intelligent use of the ring and a high work rate, saw him also win on points.
Young Karl Davis had the duty of opening the show in his contest with Ferry Street's Ambrose Draper.
Nice footwork from Davis kept him out of trouble and allowed him to pick the punches needed to squeeze out very close decision, albeit unanimous.
Finally Jack Lipton exploded into action in the second half of the opening round to score a stoppage win over Canvey's Henry Eastwood.
