SOUTHEND United’s main sponsors are to withdraw their support of the club.
PG Site Services were confirmed as the Shrimpers front of shirt sponsor back in July when it was announced a three year deal had been agreed.
However, in a statement issued this evening, PG Site Services claimed Blues used 'financial dishonesty' to get them on board.
The statement said: “It is with great regrets that we have to withdraw our support and sponsorship for Southend Football Club as we learn of its financial dishonesty in obtaining our sponsorship.
“We would now ask the club to remove all of our branding as we now take the appropriate action against the owners to recover our investment.”
It was confirmed earlier today that Blues have been placed under a transfer embargo after missing a payment to HMRC while it was also revealed last week that staff members had waited 21 days to be paid.
PG Site Services deleted their statement on Saturday morning.
Southend United have been contacted for comment.
