SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher had words of praise for Marcus Dackers following tonight’s 1-1 draw with Woking.
But he remains unsure if the on loan Salford City striker will be staying beyond Saturday’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
Dackers had scored three goals in five games since signing for the Shrimpers.
And Maher has been impressed by the impact the 19-year-old has made.
“He's settled in very quickly,” said the Blues boss.
“He’s a good size and people might be attracted to that first of all but technically he’s very, very good as well.
“He took his goal brilliantly.”
But Dackers may not be able to extend his loan spell due to the Shrimpers being in a transfer embargo.
“As far as I’m aware he can play Saturday,” said Maher.
However, when asked if he knew if Dackers could stay beyond that, Maher replied: "No."
