SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher has provided an update on Marcus Dackers’ future with the Shrimpers.
Dackers has scored three goals in six games during his month long loan from Salford City but the deal cannot be extended until Blues are out of a transfer embargo.
And, when asked if Dackers had played his last game for the club, Maher said: "We don’t know at the minute.
"He came in short term to begin with with Harry Cardwell and Rhys Murphy out injured.
"He’s done well in this period and has loved it here.
"Salford have been delighted with how he’s progressed and the games he’s played.
"He wasn’t ever going to be able to play in the FA Cup and it gives us a bit of time to see where we can go with it."
