THE WORLD Cup in Qatar is set to kick off this Sunday.

Footy fans may be finding the winter tournament a touch alien, but despite the controversy and irregularities of the 2022 World Cup, there is still plenty of excitement for the football.

England kicks off its first match against Iran on Monday at 1pm, followed by a Friday 7pm kick off against USA.
