SOUTHEND United were without Harry Cardwell and Callum Powell for Saturday’s defeat at Aldershot Town.
Cardwell missed out with a foot problem while Powell was unavailable due to the knee injury he sustained against Gateshead last weekend.
Blues boss Kevin Maher confirmed: "Cards has had an injection in the joint of his foot near his toe.
“It was initially two weeks so it looks like that might keep him out for next week too.
“Powelly we’ll see how he is at the start of next week and fingers crossed he will be OK. “
Powell is top scorer for the Shrimpers this season having scored seven goals in 19 appearances while Cardwell has made just two substitute appearances this season having previously been sidelined for six months with an ankle issue.
