SOUTHEND United’s squad are still waiting for their January wages, 25 days after it was due.
The Shrimpers take on Torquay United on Saturday afternoon.
And, as things stand, the players will again be heading into the National League clash unpaid.
Staff at Roots Hall have also not been paid since November as Blues’ financial problems continue to mount.
The club are back in court on Wednesday due to a winding up petition issued by HMRC.
However, Shrimpers chairman Ron Martin continues to assure Echosport that Saturday's game will not be the club's last.
