SOUTHEND United shirt sponsors PG Site Services have taken to social media to express their anger at 'being kept in the dark'.
A club statement issued by the Shrimpers earlier today confirmed the HMRC bill had now been paid ahead of Wednesday's appearance in the high court.
But PG Site Services - who loaned the club a further £40,000 back in November - are disappointed not to have been kept informed.
They tweeted: "That's great for the club. It's a shame the club's sponsors are still in the dark.
"You're welcome to your thoughts. We have supported him all the way and the club more than you can imagine on the basis that we would be fully aware of any developments.
"We have donated money above and beyond our contractual obligations and to be left in the dark is not cricket."
And in a further tweet, in reply to the Echo's Chris Phillips, PG Site Services are also threatening legal action against the club.
