SOUTHEND United’s appeal against Kacper Lopata’s departure will be heard by the Football Association next week.
Lopata opted to leave the Shrimpers at the start of March following a ‘serious breach of contract’ which saw him having to wait an extra 28 days for his January wages.
Lopata departed after an initial hearing with the National League went the way of the defender.
But Blues have appealed the decision and a hearing will take place with the FA on Tuesday.
Shrimpers chairman Ron Martin confirmed: “Kacper Lopata is subject to an appeal which is taking place on Tuesday. “
