SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 2-0 win against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Deserved win. Midfield three were excellent and gave the platform for the win. Noor or Taylor would have been deserving of the man of the match award.

@Jones616Kevin

Workmanlike performance first half before direct running with the ball yielded a deserved win in the second. Onto Ice Station Zebra...

@SimonGDodd

Not pretty in the first half with few chances created by either side. But we picked up in the second half. Getting and converting the first penalty gave us more belief and we were in control from then on especially after we scored our second. Husin my MOM. Same team on Tuesday please!

@tommyharris57

Sandat was very good should now be first choice ahead of Powell and Wreh, Murphy and Hyde very very injury prone. Callum works hard but suffers with his finishing if he could just take one sec longer to make the right decision. Great win you never know….

@jervetheswerve1

Real lack of quality from both teams in the first half. Only one side in it in the second. Sandat looks a great prospect, he was excellent today.

@DanDobisz

Well done second half. Henry Sandat might only be 18, but thoughly deserves to start. A great future ahead for him.

@cjblues2505

At times it wasn't pretty but the Blues produced a solid all round performance from back to front and fully deserved the win. Whatever happens between now and the end of the season we now have a management setup and a young and hungry team that we can all be proud of.

@johnfrench52

Best performance for a while, especially in the second half. Husin and Sandat were excellent and Bridge showed great composure with the penalties. Just take one game at a time and try and keep winning!

@paulmellor86

Much better second half! Fair play to Jack for putting away both pens. Let’s see what we can do in the next three games

@mattysufc

Once the first goal was scored we played with more confidence and knocked the ball around well. Everybody played well today and defence was solid but special praise for Sandat and Noor who didn't stop running and put good pressure on their defence, down to the wire now

@SearchTerry

First half was very bland from both teams. Southend probably just edging it on chances. Second half we looked very strong and completely nullified Dagenham. Overall I would say we won on chances rather then football. 12th man definitely did their job!

@HarryConstabl13

Great effort put in by team second half who worked their socks off. Sandat a very clever player, Bridge, Taylor and Husin excellent the latters best game. Some of the awful refeering decisions this season inc Wrexham both games could be costly but given ourselves a shout.

@MikeJon30206092

Great win, 2nd half much better just wish we could score from open play.

@nikitheshrimper

Much as I believe the stars are aligning for a play off place, but if not then

Kevin Maher must be the NL Manager of the Year. To get within touching distance with all the rubbish thrown at him by the owner is simply miraculous and one hell of an achievement. Legend. Hero. Our Manager.

@299Peter

In short..... we were awesome today!

@Julie_Hardy63

Jack Bridge grabbed the glory with his excellent penalty brace but the motm for me was Harry Taylor I lost count of how many last ditched tackles he successfully made to break up any attacking threat Dagenham had.

@phillsilver9

Rather dull and nervy first half but second half we were excellent. Didn’t give them any time on the ball whatsoever, was turning the ball over quickly and got our rewards with the penalties. Real determined and battling performance from the lads. Putting pressure on those above us!
