THE Shrimpers Trust's hardship fund, to help unpaid staff at Southend United, has now surpassed £10,000.
Full-time staff working at Roots Hall have gone three months without being paid while a few have not been paid in four.
And those affected are now able to approach ths Trust in confidence for financial support.
Fans of clubs across the country have also chipped in to support Blues, most notably York City.
The York City FC Supporters’ Trust have already raised £1,000 via bucket collections at their last two pre-season friendlies while their owner Matt Uggla has already promised to match what is raised.
