SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher insists the Shrimpers have no desire to sell any of their players.
Blues rejected a bid from Exeter City for top scorer Harry Cardwell earlier this week.
And Maher stressed the club never even considered accepting the offer.
“The offer wasn’t anywhere near even worth talking about,” said Maher.
“He’s started the season ever so well and he’s way too important for us lose.
“We’re not inviting any offers for any players.
“Clubs will maybe look at our situation and look to take advantage, which is fair enough.
“It’s going to happen and we accept that but we’re not interested in anyone leaving the building.”
