SOUTHEND United head coach Kevin Maher has heaped praise on defender Jason Demetriou.
The 35-year-old defender has started four games in the last 10 games.
And Maher has been blown away by Demetriou’s energy levels.
“JD played his fourth game in 10 days and he’s still overlapping at the end to get in the box which is unbelievable,” said Maher.
“But right through the team the energy, the fitness and quality was outstanding.”
Blues drew 1-1 at Aldershot to move off the foot of the National League table.
