SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher is expecting to discover the full extent of Callum Powell’s knee injury today.
The striker suffered the setback during last Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Aldershot Town and missed Saturday’s clash with Rochdale.
The forward is also expected to miss tomorrow’s match with Oxford City at Roots Hall.
But Maher will not know how long Powell will be out for until the results of the scan are received.
“We’re waiting on the results of his scan,” said Maher.
"“There’s a bit of swelling there so the results will tell us more and hopefully it’s today we find out.
