SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Wealdstone at Roots Hall.

It wasn’t the best performance but we created plenty of chances and more than enough to win the game so is disappointing to not get the win. Good to have Coker back but badly missed Cardwell!!

@Ljarvis27

Disjointed. Goes without saying that having Taylor & Kensdale out has unsettled the defence. Coker made a big difference when he came on. That said, if we could head the ball properly we’d have won comfortably.

@FlashDarbs

Better to draw than lose, but that was not a good performance. We only have one forward of NL quality and when he is injured, it is painful watching his replacements. Will need big changes to strikers and attacking midfield in summer if we have hope of any progress next season.

@Moorhouse79

Genuinely pathetic. Fans are far too kind. Gus Scott-Morris available all first half, Bridge free 2nd half. No one can hit a diagonal ball to reach them! Dackers is awful, Miley well off the pace, Cardwell a huge miss. Demetriou the MOTM by a country mile.

@djm_eightyone

First half poor, only created one real chance. The second half, we dominated and created a hatful of opportunities, thanks to Coker's lively introduction, which were wasted by our strikers. Thankfully, we got something from the game very late on.

@SenseiPhil2

Credit to Wealdstone who caused us a number of problems first half. We stuck at it and deserved a point in the end. Some of the mainstays of the side looked very tired to me - the number of games catching up on a few. Need some fresh legs from the start on Saturday.

@Jones616Kevin

If you can’t win, don’t lose. Poor performance, deserved nothing so we’ll take extending the unbeaten run and move on to Saturday.

@samgoody23

A frustrating game but credit to the players for keeping going. In awe of JD who showed his class and experience

@prnapper

Frustrating evening - but I’d say a deserved point ! The players do keep going in this group. Some of the idiotic comments and shouting from the West Stand was awful. Getting on the players backs constantly. No patience at all ! Made the game painful to watch

@harrisufc

Not the best performance from the boys but we didn’t lose. Credit to the team who kept on going right until the very end. Thought Coker was brilliant when he came on.

@KEYSGK1

A point saved rather than two dropped. Wealdstone excellent in attack first half. But the early goal seemed to sap our energy. Coker and Sandat good when they came on and at least one of them should start Saturday. If we’re going to play everything to Bridge he needs options.
