BILLERICAY Town ended their run of six straight defeats with a 1-1 draw at Hastings United on Saturday.

Bradley Stevenson fired Town in front from the penalty spot two minutes into the second half but Will Harley bagged a 75th minute equaliser for the hosts.

Billericay remain fourth in the Isthmian Premier Division standings while Hashtag United moved 10th after a 4-2 win over Margate at the Len Salmon Stadium.

Nathan Smith bagged a brace for the Tags while Misha Djemaili and Sakariya Hassan were also on target.

Canvey Island, who are 15th, lost 2-0 at home to third placed Wingate & Finchley while Concord Rangers dropped to second from bottom after a narrow 2-1 defeat at second placed Chatham Town.

Chris Regis netted for the Beach Boys.

In Isthmian North there were wins for Basildon United and Bowers & Pitsea.

Fifth placed Bowers won 3-0 at Maldon & Tiptree thanks to two goals from Solomon Addy and one from Thomas Stagg while Basildon United went sixth after beating Grays Athletic 2-1 at the TLM Environmental Stadium.

Ben Allen bagged both goals for the Bees.

In the Essex Senior League, sixth placed Hullbridge Sports won 5-2 at FC Clacton.

Tobi Coker scored twice for Sports while Jon Evans, Adam Topley and Owen Bellamy also netted.
