ECHOSPORT talks to Dorking Wanderers fan James Lampard ahead of tonight's clash with Southend United at Roots Hall.

Dorking are currently 21st in the table. What have you made of the season so far?

"The season has been tough.

"Very much second season syndrome for us.

"Injuries have certainly played their part and a slow start didn’t help.

"Inconsistencies have been key again, win a couple but then lose and then don’t back up those good wins."

How confident are you of staying up?

"I’m always confident but with nine games left and some tough games it will be very pressured right until the end."

Who have been the stand out players this season?

"Stand outs for me have been Harrison Male the keeper we signed in the summer from Worthing.

"He's won player of the month several times and has been exceptional.

"Dan Pybus with his recent England C call up has been a good addition and Tom Blair has also made an impact."

What's the team news?

"As always, we have injuries and suspensions.

"Josh Taylor is suspended following his 10 bookings.

"According to Marc (White) in his recent interview, there are also doubts over Barry Fuller and George Francomb, whilst Joe Cook is also injured - alongside James McShane and Matt Briggs."
