SOUTHEND United midfielder Noor Husin missed tonight's 3-0 win at Solihull Moors with a shin problem.
Husin had started every league for the Shrimpers this season ahead of the clash at the ARMCO Arena.
But Blues boss Kevin Maher felt it was time for the 27-year-old to stop playing through the pain.
"It’s not shin splints but he’s had real soreness in the compartments around his shin," explained Maher.
"He’s played with it and it loosens up during games but it's something he's managing.
"He’s trying to play on it and I think he tries almost too hard sometimes.
"He’s such a brilliant player for us he’s always going to be a miss but that’s why we’ve squad and that’s we decided to give him a rest."
