THE Essex Senior League have decided not to alter who will feature in the end of season play-offs.
Confusion had surrounded the fixtures due to a disciplinary issue involving Saffron Walden Town.
But the league will not be awarding points to any other teams and that means Great Wakering Rovers remain in sixth place.
A statement from the league confirmed: "Following today's hearing involving Saffron Walden Town, the panel has unambiguously agreed not to award the points for the two league games in question against Tilbury & Great Wakering Rovers.
"The panel agreed that the points would be deducted from Saffron Walden Town and have also imposed a financial penalty on the club.
GWR have advised that they want to focus on the FA Vase final on 11/5 and have therefore decided not to appeal the decision.
"We are now delighted to announce that Friday's play-off Semi Finals can go ahead (Woodford Town v Sporting Bengal, Romford v Barking).
"We thank the clubs involved in this situation for their co-operation and patience whilst the thorough investigations and hearings were taking place between the ESL, Saffron Walden Town, and other authorities.
"Wishing the four teams in the play-offs the best of luck."
