CONCERNED Southend United fans took little comfort from talking with club chairman Ron Martin during their latest round of protests.
Angry Shrimpers supporters stood outside Martin’s Benfleet home on Saturday morning as they continue to worry for the future of the football club. And speaking to Martin did not ease their fears.
A spokesman for the Southend Fan Protest Group said: “I was worried before and I’m still worried now.
“He said there will be a solution to the winding up petition but why hasn’t there already been one found?
“Why is it always last minute every single time. The largest concern is the winding up petition and he said it won’t be him who pays it.”
Blues will be back in the High Court on June 26th due to the winding up petition issued by Stewarts Law and PG Site Services which totals £500,000.
