SOUTHEND United defender Harry Taylor will miss tonight’s pre-season clash at Canvey Island with the cut he sustained during Saturday’s friendly at Great Wakering Rovers.
Taylor was taken straight to hospital after suffering a nasty looking collision at Burroughs Park.
But, despite the cut not being as bad as first feared, Blues boss Kevin Maher is unsure when Taylor will be able to return.
“He went to hospital and his cut wasn’t too bad in the end so he had it glued,” said Maher.
“He won’t be involved against Canvey and we’ll have to see how he is because obviously heading the ball will be a problem.”
