SAM Hornby did not feature for Southend United against Canvey Island tonight after being handed an opportunity elsewhere.
Hornby started for the Shrimpers at Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday.
But the shot-stopper is currently pursuing an opportunity with a League Two club.
Shrimpers boss Kevin Maher confirmed: “Sam went to another club to have a look. Fair play to him but we’re looking in that area and it’s ongoing.”
With Collin Andeng Ndi still sidelined with a slight hip problem, teenage goalkeeper Charlie Brown played the full 90 minutes for Blues against Canvey.
