FORMER Southampton defender Zuriel Otseh-Taiwo will not be joining Southend United.
Otseh-Taiwo had been on trial with the Shrimpers during pre-season.
But after the full-back did not make the trip to Ireland with Blues, boss Kevin Maher confirmed Otseh-Taiwo will now be looking elsewhere for a contract.
“He’s not with us moving forward,” confirmed Maher.
However, the Shrimpers boss hinted ex Arsenal goalkeeper James Hillson could be handed another opportunity to impress.
Maher said: “We may have a look at him again. We’ll look at that later in the week. “
Hillson came off the bench for Blues during the 3-1 defeat to Gillingham at Roots Hall on Saturday.
