THERE was extra preliminary round FA Cup joy for Basildon United, Benfleet and White Ensign this afternoon.

Basildon beat Hadley 2-1 at the Hive with Ruben Bartlett-Anti scoring the winner five minutes from time after Ramiah Mills’ opener had been cancelled out by the visitors’ Luke Massingham.

Benfleet also triumphed at home as they saw off Woodford Town 3-1 at the Woodside Stadium, thanks to first half goals from Rhys Fatt, Max Jobson and Mason Shave.

White Ensign also celebrated a 3-1 win as fought back to triumph at Potton United.

Chris Manangu put the hosts in front after just 11 minutes before Ensign skipper Nathan Wilson equalised 10 minutes later.

The in-form Ellis Devereux made it 2-1 in the 72nd minute and Jon Evans sealed the win late on.

Elsewhere, Great Wakering drew 2-2 at home to Redbridge.

The visitors led twice but equalisers from Harry Brown and James White took the tie to a replay.
